I keep it stocked with olive oil and use it for spraying pans. But when I decided another mister with canola oil was in order, I wanted to find one with less plastic. The only option I could find was the Prepara oil mister (which I think is sold on Amazon). It does have a plastic spraying apparatus but the container is glass and it works just as well as the Misto.Cindy @ OnePartSunshinehttp://www.onepartsunshine.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7090961411235444897.post-77959609685272549182011-01-20T17:18:03.463-08:002011-01-20T17:18:03.463-08:00I have a Pampered Chef oil sprayer that I've u...I have a Pampered Chef oil sprayer that I've used for eons filled with olive oil (which I use when I need to spray pans too) and I love it. I just received a Pampered Chef one. It's plastic but I'm wondering how it holds up. If it's no good - I'm onto this brand! It's always good to hear from a real person about certain brands. Nothing beats a good bottle of olive oil, homemade bread, local cheese and a bottle of wine.Meganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13743243870137047229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7090961411235444897.post-22608961457115442652011-01-20T12:02:41.182-08:002011-01-20T12:02:41.182-08:00oilive oil also has a lower smoke point, so it'...oilive oil also has a lower smoke point, so it's not as versatile.<br /><br />we had one from crate & barrel, and it got a hole or something in the pump b/c it doesn't work anymore. :(<br /><br />lately I've just been using the cook's best tool - clean hands - and rubbing my baking dishes down.Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01983274195515128817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7090961411235444897.post-20035488909249633632011-01-20T11:03:11.780-08:002011-01-20T11:03:11.780-08:00@krista- you can use olive oil for baking, but i&#...@krista- you can use olive oil for baking, but i've found its flavor is too strong.Reneehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16692039873268919274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7090961411235444897.post-36564551750519077382011-01-20T10:56:49.914-08:002011-01-20T10:56:49.914-08:00you know, I never thought about what was in my coo...you know, I never thought about what was in my cooking spray!
